Local information disclosure via unchecked Bluetooth buffer read
Published Mar 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Android 13 Bluetooth handling allows local users with System execution privileges to disclose process memory. The btm_ble_rand_enc_complete callback in btm_ble.cc reads beyond the supplied buffer because it does not check the buffer bounds before consuming data. Exploitation requires System-level code execution but no user interaction, and the consequence is limited to information readable by the affected process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
