Local privilege escalation via unescaped autofill label
Published Mar 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
Improper input validation in Google Cloud Android 13's DefaultAutofillPicker allows local users to gain privileges through a deceptive app label. getConfirmationMessage inserts an autofill service's attacker-controlled application label into an HTML-formatted confirmation without escaping markup. An installed app must supply the crafted label and persuade the user to approve it as the default autofill service.
