Credential disclosure via pre-approval EAP authentication
Published Aug 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Credential disclosure in Android 13 Wi-Fi TOFU handling allows remote attackers to obtain enterprise Wi-Fi credentials without user interaction. ClientModeImpl's processMessageImpl allows phase-two EAP authentication to send user credentials through an unauthenticated TLS tunnel before the server certificate is approved. A malicious WPA-Enterprise access point can therefore capture the credentials when an affected device attempts the trust-on-first-use connection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
