Database manipulation via unescaped login username
Published Apr 15, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Login.php in SourceCodester Vehicle Service Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to alter queries via the username field. Login.php places the username value into an authentication database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, so crafted input changes the query structure. Published assessments conflict on the gate: NVD treats the endpoint as unauthenticated, while the CNA requires a low-privilege account; successful injection exposes or changes application data and can interrupt database-backed operations.
