Authenticated SQL injection via designation identifier
Published Apr 15, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Employee and Visitor Gate Pass Logging System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via the id parameter. The view_designation.php handler accepts crafted id values that change the SQL statement, as demonstrated by time-delay and UNION-based queries. A valid administrator session is required to reach the maintenance endpoint; successful injection exposes database data within the application account's privileges.
