Improper input validation in MediaTek MT8781 imgsys_cmdq allows local users to escalate privileges through an out-of-bounds read. The imgsys_cmdq component fails to validate an input range before using it for a memory read, permitting access beyond the intended bounds. Exploitation requires existing System execution privileges and user interaction, and MediaTek reports privilege escalation rather than a standalone remote entry point.
