Local information disclosure via unchecked imgsys_cmdq range
Published Sep 4, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in MediaTek imgsys_cmdq on Android 11.0 and 12.0, Linux 6.1, IOT-v23.0, and Yocto 4.0 allows local users to read memory. The command-queue image subsystem fails to validate an input range before reading beyond the intended buffer boundary. Exploitation requires System execution privileges and user interaction; the reported consequence is local information disclosure only.
