Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek chipset modem firmware allows remote attackers to escalate privileges through crafted CDMA PPP traffic. The CDMA PPP implementation performs a write without first enforcing the required bounds check, allowing data to pass the destination boundary. No prior execution privilege or user interaction is required on modem branches LR11, LR12A, LR13, NR15, NR16, and NR17.
