Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek vdec on Android 10.0 and 11.0 allows local users with System privileges to escalate privileges. The vdec component writes beyond an intended buffer because it omits a required bounds check before the write. Exploitation requires System execution privileges on a device with a listed MediaTek chipset, and no user interaction is required.
