Memory corruption in MediaTek imgsys on MT6879, MT6895, MT6983, MT8188, MT8195, MT8395, and MT8781 allows local users to gain privileges. The closed imgsys component improperly validates attacker-influenced input, corrupting memory; MediaTek has not disclosed the affected function or data structure. Affected releases are Android 12.0, Android 13.0, and IOT-v23.0 (Yocto 4.0); exploitation requires System execution privileges and user interaction.
