An out-of-bounds read in MediaTek WLAN software allows local users to disclose memory on affected Android and Yocto chipsets. The WLAN component reads beyond a buffer because it omits a required bounds check, exposing adjacent memory to the caller. The affected software runs on Android 12.0 and 13.0 or Yocto 3.1, 3.3, and 4.0; exploitation requires System execution privileges and no user interaction.
