CVE-2023-2072Network attack vector

Remote code execution via unauthenticated stored XSS

Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

Stored XSS in Rockwell Automation PowerMonitor 1000 V4.011 allows remote attackers to execute code through the device web interface. Unauthenticated web pages accept and retain attacker-supplied code, then deliver it without safe neutralization when an authenticated user views the affected content. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to load the poisoned page; the resulting code execution can compromise the device's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
