CVE-2023-20665

Local information disclosure via unchecked RIL bounds

Published Apr 6, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in MediaTek RIL on listed chipsets running Android 12.0 or 13.0 allows local users to disclose memory contents. The RIL component reads beyond a buffer because it fails to check an input boundary before accessing memory. Exploitation requires System execution privileges but no user interaction, and the reported consequence is limited to local information disclosure.
