Double free in the gz component of MediaTek chipsets on Android 10.0 through 13.0 allows local users with System privileges to escalate privileges. The component reuses an object after it has been freed and frees the same allocation again; MediaTek has not disclosed the triggering input or code path. The flaw requires local System execution privileges and no user interaction, and successful exploitation elevates privileges.
