Improper synchronization in MediaTek chipsets running Android 12.0 and 13.0 allows local users to escalate privileges through an adsp race condition. The adsp component permits racing execution paths to free the same memory twice because access is not properly synchronized. Exploitation requires local System execution privileges and high-complexity race timing; no user interaction is required.
