CVE-2023-20599

Cryptographic key disclosure or corruption via CCP registers

Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Improper register access control in AMD Secure Processor firmware allows local users to read or alter cryptographic key state. The ASP fails to restrict x86 access to Crypto Co-Processor registers, allowing control of the cryptographic key pointer or index. Administrative code execution on an affected platform is required; successful access can disclose protected data or corrupt cryptographic operations.
