Guest memory corruption via INVD cache rollback

Improper INVD behavior in AMD EPYC processors allows attackers controlling a malicious hypervisor to corrupt SEV guest VM memory. The processor permits INVD-driven cache invalidation to suppress selected dirty cache-line write-backs, reverting protected guest memory to stale values. Exploitation requires hypervisor control and an SEV-protected guest; demonstrated consequences include authentication bypass, privilege escalation, and key recovery.
