Authenticated directory traversal via activepath filter bypass
Published Apr 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Path traversal in DedeCMS 5.7.87 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate directories through select_templets.php. The endpoint accepts a controllable activepath value, and its filtering permits a backslash traversal sequence before dir() and read() enumerate the resolved directory. A low-privileged authenticated request is sufficient, and exposure is limited to directory entries rather than demonstrated file-content access.
