Improper input handling in the IOMMU on AMD EPYC 9004 processors allows local users to corrupt SEV-SNP guest memory. The IOMMU mishandles invalid nested page-table entries, allowing induced PTE faults to bypass Reverse Map Table checks that normally protect SEV-SNP guest pages. Exploitation requires local, high-privilege control of the virtualization host and affects guest-memory integrity without a reported confidentiality or availability impact.
