CVE-2023-20512

Privileged debug-data disclosure via hardcoded AES key

Published Aug 13, 2024 · Updated Oct 30, 2024

Information disclosure in AMD Radeon RX 6000 and PRO W6000 graphics cards allows local users to access internal PMFW debug data. Power Management Firmware embeds a static AES key instead of protecting the encryption key as a device-specific secret. Administrator-level access and a high-complexity local path are required, and the documented consequence is limited to disclosure of the key and internal debug information.
