CVE-2023-20510

Corruption or service interruption via invalid DRAM read

Published Aug 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024

Improper DRAM address validation in AMD Radeon RX 6000 and PRO W6000 PMFW allows local users to corrupt data or interrupt service. PMFW accepts an invalid DRAM address and reads from that address into SRAM without sufficient validation. Exploitation requires local high-privilege access; AMD reports data corruption or denial of service but does not specify the interruption mode.
