Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized sort parameter
Published Apr 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
SQL injection in Novel-Plus 3.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries through the category-list sort parameter. The /category/list endpoint uses the untrusted sort value as an SQL ordering expression without safely constraining it. Low-privileged application access is required, and successful injection executes database operations within the application's database privileges.
