SSH service interruption via error-state resource mismanagement
Published Sep 27, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Denial of service in Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager allows remote attackers to crash and restart its SSH process with malicious traffic. The SSH service mishandles resource management while the system is in an error condition, allowing crafted traffic to terminate its process. No authentication is required; only SSH access is interrupted, while the system and web interface continue operating.
