CVE-2023-20228Network attack vector

Browser script execution via unvalidated web input

Published Aug 16, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Cross-site scripting in the Cisco IMC web interface allows remote attackers to execute script in a targeted user's browser via a crafted link. The interface insufficiently validates user input, allowing a crafted value to become executable browser content; Cisco has not disclosed the endpoint or parameter. Exploitation requires the targeted user to click the link and can expose browser-based information or alter content in that user's session.
