Command injection in affected Cisco Identity Services Engine releases allows local users to gain root privileges via a crafted CLI command. A specific but undisclosed ISE CLI command insufficiently validates user-supplied input before passing it to the underlying operating system. Valid Read-only-level privileges or higher are required, and successful exploitation executes injected commands with root privileges.
