CVE-2023-2017Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via callable allowlist bypass

Published Apr 17, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

Code injection in Shopware 6 6.4.20.0 and earlier and 6.5.0.0-rc1 through 6.5.0.0-rc4 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The Twig SecurityExtension allowlist checks only string callable arguments, so array callables bypass validation before map, reduce, filter, or sort invokes them. Exploitation requires login access to a Twig environment without Sandbox; successful execution runs arbitrary PHP functions and commands.
