Administrator file disclosure via crafted HTTP request
Published May 18, 2023 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Path traversal in Cisco Identity Services Engine allows remote authenticated users with Administrator privileges to read specific local files. The web-based management interface fails to validate user-supplied input in a crafted HTTP request before resolving file paths. Administrator-level access is required, and successful exploitation exposes arbitrary files of specific types from the appliance operating system.
