Browser script execution via insufficient HTTP input validation
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Cisco Small Business RV Series Router Firmware allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted HTTP requests. The web-based management interface insufficiently validates request input before placing it into pages that a user later visits. No authentication is required, but exploitation requires persuading an interface user to open a payload-bearing page, enabling script execution or browser-based data access in the interface context.
