CVE-2023-20150Network attack vector

Browser script execution via stored management payloads

Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in Cisco Small Business RV router firmware allows remote attackers to run script in an interface user's browser. The web-based management interface insufficiently validates crafted HTTP requests, allowing malicious payloads to be stored and returned in pages the user visits. Exploitation requires persuading an interface user to open a prepared page, exposing browser-based information or altering data accessible in that interface.
