Browser script execution via insufficient input validation
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Cisco Small Business RV016, RV042, RV042G, RV082, RV320, and RV325 Routers allows remote attackers to run browser scripts. The web-based management interface fails to validate input in crafted HTTP requests, allowing malicious payloads to execute in its browser context. Exploitation requires no authentication, but attackers must persuade a user to visit a page containing the payload; successful attacks can access sensitive browser-based information.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
