Browser script execution via unvalidated management requests
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Cisco Small Business RV router firmware allows remote attackers to run scripts through crafted HTTP requests. The web interface stores attacker-controlled request data without sufficient validation and later renders it inside management pages. All releases of the RV016, RV042, RV042G, RV082, RV320, and RV325 are affected; submission requires no authentication, but execution requires a user to visit an affected page and remains within the interface's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
