Script execution via unescaped group-template selection
Published Apr 13, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Microweber before 1.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to run script through group-template selection. The group settings template assigns the raw template GET parameter to selected_template for use in selection markup; the patch escapes it before existing XSS cleaning. High-privilege access and victim interaction are required, enabling script execution in the victim's browser.
