Cross-site scripting via insufficient input validation
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Cross-site scripting in all releases of Cisco Small Business RV router firmware allows remote attackers to run scripts via crafted HTTP requests. The web-based management interface fails to validate crafted HTTP input before a browser renders the resulting page; Cisco has not named the affected parameters. Exploitation requires persuading a user to open a page containing the payload, which executes in the interface context and can expose browser-based information.
