Root command execution via unvalidated management input
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Command injection in Cisco Small Business RV320 and RV325 routers allows remote authenticated users to execute root commands through the web interface. The web-based management interface insufficiently validates administrator-supplied input before passing it to the underlying Linux command environment. Valid Administrator credentials are required; WAN reachability exists only when Remote Management is enabled, but LAN management remains exposed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
