Denial of service in Cisco IOS XE Software CAPWAP AP joining allows remote attackers to restart affected wireless controllers. The CAPWAP AP-join logic contains a condition-dependent error, but Cisco has not disclosed the erroneous operation or trigger values. No credentials are required, but exploitation requires an attacker-controlled AP to join successfully and the ability to restart a previously connected valid AP.
