Stored script execution via unvalidated data fields
Published Nov 1, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Stored XSS in Cisco Firepower Management Center's web interface allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser. The interface stores crafted input inserted into multiple data fields without sufficient validation, then renders it in the management context. Exploitation requires a user to view the stored content; script runs with that user's interface context and can read browser-based information or temporarily disrupt parts of the dashboard.
