Authenticated SYSTEM command execution via Device Pack upload
Published Nov 15, 2024 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
OS command injection in Cisco Industrial Network Director before 1.11.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as SYSTEM. The web UI fails to validate a modified request during Device Pack upload before processing attacker-controlled operating-system commands. Access to the authenticated Device Pack upload workflow is required, and successful exploitation grants NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM control of the host.
