Command injection in Cisco IOS XE SD-WAN Software allows local users to execute operating-system commands with root privileges. The system CLI insufficiently validates crafted command input before passing it to the underlying operating system. Exploitation requires authentication through a local terminal or management shell and command-running privileges; low-privileged users gain complete device control.
