CVE-2023-20015

Unauthorized CLI command execution via crafted input

Published Feb 23, 2023 · Updated Oct 28, 2024

Command injection in Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects allows local users to execute unauthorized CLI commands through crafted input. The CLI insufficiently validates user-supplied command text before dispatching it, allowing crafted input to reach unauthorized command execution. Administrator access on UCS 6400 and 6500 devices enables root-level operating-system commands; other affected models expose only unauthorized unprivileged CLI commands.
