Arbitrary file overwrite in Cisco TelePresence CE and RoomOS Software allows local users to replace device files through the CLI. The CLI follows a symbolic link placed at a specific filesystem location and writes through it without enforcing access controls on the destination file. An authenticated account with high privileges and local CLI access is required; exploitation changes arbitrary files without a reported confidentiality or availability impact.
