CVE-2023-20007Network attack vector

Administrator-authenticated root code execution via crafted HTTP input

Published Jan 19, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Input validation failure in the web interface of Cisco RV34x routers before 1.0.03.29 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The interface accepts crafted HTTP input without sufficient validation, but Cisco has not disclosed the affected request field or faulty parsing operation. Valid administrator credentials and network access are required; exploitation grants root code execution or restarts the management process, and WAN exposure requires enabled remote management.
