Administrator-level stored XSS via unsanitized form labels
Published Aug 30, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Stored XSS in WP Front User Submit / Front Editor 4.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via form labels. The form builder stores the Post Title field's Label value without sanitizing it or escaping it when the form editor renders the saved setting. Administrator-level access is required, and reopening the affected form executes the payload even when unfiltered_html is disabled, including on multisite installations.
