Execution with unnecessary privileges in Illumina Universal Copy Service v1.x and v2.x allows remote attackers to execute OS-level code. The service accepts unauthenticated file uploads and executes uploaded code with excessive operating-system privileges. Network access to the service is sufficient to alter instrument settings, configurations, or software and to access sensitive data.
