Database query manipulation via product search input
Published Apr 8, 2023 · Updated Feb 7, 2025
SQL injection in the Product Search endpoint of Online Computer and Laptop Store 1.0 allows remote attackers to alter database queries. The /?p=products handler uses the search argument in an SQL operation without neutralizing query-control characters. The product exposes search to public visitors, so crafted searches require no user interaction and can compromise store data or interrupt database-backed functions.
