Authenticated PHP execution via writable category cache
Published Apr 7, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in TaoCMS 3.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through the administrative category workflow. The category handler stores insufficiently neutralized category data in the executable cat_array.inc cache, which application routes later include as PHP. An administrator-level session is required; successful injection executes attacker-supplied PHP in the web-server process.
