Cache-settings changes via missing nonce validation
Published Apr 6, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Emre Vona WP Fastest Cache 1.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to change cache settings. The wpfc_toolbar_save_settings_callback function accepts a forged settings request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or otherwise submit the forged request; the resulting action alters cache configuration.
