Draft post disclosure via unchecked shortcode post IDs
Published May 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025
Authorization bypass in Creative Themes Blocksy Companion before 1.8.82 allows remote authenticated users to read draft posts. The parse-media-shortcode AJAX action renders a blocksy_posts shortcode containing an attacker-selected post_ids value without verifying that the referenced post is public and viewable. A subscriber account is sufficient to obtain the selected draft post's title and content; no modification or service interruption is reported.
