Authorization bypass in phpMyFAQ before 3.1.12 allows remote authenticated users with edit-only rights to add or delete categories and add FAQs. The record.add.php endpoint accepts either edit_faq or add_faq permission when only add_faq should authorize FAQ creation. Exploitation requires an authenticated edit-only account and permits unauthorized knowledge-base changes, including category deletion.
