Browser script execution via unsanitized view parameter
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Keysight Technologies Ixia Hawkeye 3.3.16.28 allows remote authenticated users to execute browser script via a crafted URL. The /licenses handler places the view query parameter into generated HTML without neutralizing script markup, causing the victim's browser to execute it in the Hawkeye origin. A victim must open the crafted request, and the attacker needs low-privilege access; the published impact is limited to page-content modification.
