Stored script execution via unsanitized product names
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Online Computer and Laptop Store 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted product name. The product-management form stores the Product Name value without neutralizing active markup, and the client homepage renders that value as executable content. Management access is required to save the payload, and a visitor must load the homepage; execution is confined to that visitor's browser context.
